The Practical Pendulum – A Swinger’s Guide

By Dan Baldwin

Dan Baldwin’s new non-fiction works on pendulum dowsing and psychic detecting should be of great interest to the practicing psychic, psychic student, psychic detective or anyone interested in those fascinating subjects.

Baldwin says, “I wrote The Practical Pendulum as a no-nonsense guide to pendulum dowsing. I wanted to cover the main bases in as few chapters and in as few words as possible while still imparting the necessary information and insight. I wanted to say, ‘This is what it is. This is what it does. And this is how you do it.’ The pendulum is just a tool, but it is a powerful tool – one that links the dowser’s sub-conscious mind with a higher power to access information and insight that can, in many cases, save lives.”

The Practical Pendulum has 60 chapters devoted to the use of a pendulum including: selecting a pendulum, pendulum language, questioning techniques, pendulum charts, map dowsing, and challenges and obstacles a dowsing will most likely face. The book also includes Baldwin’s ten-step process for a successful pendulum session. Baldwin says, “There is a definite metaphysical side to pendulum dowsing, but this book’s focus is on the how-to.”

Baldwin’s book on psychic detecting, They Are Not Yet Lost, features cases drawn from the efforts of the Find Me organization, a world-wide group of psychics dedicated to finding missing persons and solving crimes. Baldwin was an inaugural member of the organization. “I was given access to the raw investigative files on the cases in the book. I interviewed principles involved and I used my on case files to tell these incredible stories,” he says.

In addition to using his pendulum dowsing skills to search for the missing, Baldwin also served as a “groundpounder” volunteer with search and rescue teams following up on the psychic’s information. “I’ve searched with my ‘rock on a string’ and also with my feet on the ground. Those experiences make for interesting and informative reading,” Baldwin says.

In addition to relating true stories of psychic detectives at work, They Are Not Yet Lost provides a chapter outlining how interested persons can form their own psychic detecting group. “The chapter should help others avoid some stumbling blocks and to streamline their efforts toward forming an effective group.”

Baldwin says a significant motivation behind writing They Are Not Yet Lost is that it is a call to law enforcement to consider vetted psychics as first responders in a missing persons case. “They need to get psychics (with proven track records) involved immediately. The authorities will accept and act on leads from an anonymous phone tip. They should at least give similar credence to information coming from a group of trained, experienced and dedicated volunteers.”

The successes related in They Are Not Yet Lost are clear proof of his point.

Baldwin is the ghostwriter or co-author of more than 50 business books. Under his own name he is the author of the above non-fiction works and Just the FAQs, Please About Alcohol and Drug Abuse ( with George Sewell). Under his own name he is an award winning novelist.
